The quality of molten steel directly affects the performance of steel, and reducing the amount of slag in the process of converter tapping is an important link to improve the quality of molten steel. How to reduce the amount of slag in the process of converter tapping is a technical problem that has plagued the steel industry for a long time, and has become a constraint factor for converter smelting special steel and high-quality steel.
Compared with other slag retaining measures, the converter slide plate has the following advantages:
Average thickness of slag from tapping to ladle: ≤ 40mm;
Reduce the amount of sulfur and phosphorus in molten steel to improve the quality of molten steel;
Increasing the yield of metals;
Reducing the consumption of post-processing alloy in the converter;
Shorten the secondary refining treatment time in the ladle and reduce the consumption of synthetic slag.
At present, the converter slag blocking and tapping technology with sliding plate mechanism models are: ZZF-4ZH, YZL-3GY, ZZF-7J, ZZF-7F, the converter slag blocking and tapping technology in Baosteel, WISCO, Angang, Shougang Jingtang, Meigang, Nangang and other domestic more than 30 customers have been successfully applied.
