The traditional tundish upper nozzle and immersion nozzle are used to prevent clogging at the expense of life, and the tundish breathable upper nozzle is developed to solve the above contradiction. From the perspective of structure and function, there are two kinds of air-permeable upper nozzle in tundish, one is non-quick-change air-permeable upper nozzle, and the other is quick-change air-permeable upper nozzle (quick-change refers to quick replacement of immersion nozzle to ensure continuous steel pouring without interruption). In the case of the current immersion nozzle life is relatively low, the successful development of the breathable quick-change nozzle has greatly improved the overall life of the tundish, and the overall service life of the slab tundish in this way has exceeded 10 hours on average.
