Silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide brick is made by high-purity SiC as aggregate, adding additives such as silica powder, and nitriding and sintering at high temperature in a special kiln using in-situ generation theory. Its structural characteristics are: SiC large-sized particles are surrounded by a matrix, and the matrix part is composed of granular SiC and in-situ generated fibrous Si N, Si N fibers are interwoven into a three-dimensional space network to surround small SiC particles, and form a strong mechanical bond with SiC large particles. The product has high thermal conductivity, oxidation resistance and resistance to cryolite erosion, especially for high power aluminum electrolytic cell.

The product has been applied by large-scale electrolytic cells of many domestic and foreign enterprises, such as Jiaozuo Wanfang Aluminum, Guiyang Aluminum, Zhongfu Aluminum, Baotou Aluminum, Rio Tinto Aluminum, Russian Aluminum, Bahrain Aluminum and so on.
